This policy describes how Brutmaps ("we") handles your data on brutmaps.com and in the Brutmaps iOS app. Brutmaps is an independent project run by Artem Gorodetskiy. Questions: info@brutmaps.com.

What we collect

• Account data. When you create an account (email, or Sign in with Apple / Google), we store your email address and authentication identifiers.
• Your activity. Buildings you save, mark as visited or hide, and photos or objects you submit.
• Newsletter. Your email address if you subscribe to our digest, or when you create an account (you can unsubscribe from every email with one click).
• Messages. Anything you send us via contact forms or by replying to our emails.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) and basic analytics on the website.

What we use it for

• Running your account and syncing it between the website and the iOS app.
• Sending occasional product emails, like a short monthly digest of new buildings.
• Improving the map, fixing bugs and understanding what content people enjoy.

We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Brutmaps: a hosting provider, a database and authentication platform, and an email delivery service. They process data only on our behalf and under data processing agreements.

• Apple / Google: if you sign in with those providers, they process the sign-in; Apple may hide your real email behind a relay address, which is fine with us.
• Google Analytics: basic, aggregated visit statistics on the website.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete everything we hold about you, or export your data. You can delete your account in the iOS app settings, or email us and we will do it within a few days. Unsubscribing from emails never affects your account.

Retention

We keep account data while your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed; photos you contributed to the public map may remain with your author credit unless you ask us to remove them too.

Children

Brutmaps is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will note it here with a new date.
